Uptime mastermind groups
Mastermind groups have been around for centuries and have proven to be a powerful tool for personal and professional development. In the Uptime community, we believe that running mastermind groups is essential for our members to achieve their goals and achieve success.
A mastermind group is a group of like-minded individuals who come together to support each other in achieving their goals. Members of the group share their experiences, challenges, and ideas, and provide each other with guidance, feedback, and accountability. The goal of a mastermind group is to help each member achieve their goals and succeed in their personal and professional lives.
The Uptime community also recognizes the importance of providing structured support for its members. Our mastermind groups follow a specific agenda and format, allowing members to focus on their goals and get the most out of their time together. Here are the two main components of our mastermind groups:
Monthly meetings: Our mastermind groups typically meet once a month to discuss progress, share challenges and experiences, and set goals for the upcoming month. This provides members with a regular opportunity to reflect on their progress and get feedback and support from the group.
Shared WhatsApp or Telegram group: We have found that having a shared messaging group allows members of one mastermind group to stay connected and support each other in between meetings. This can be a great way to share resources, ask for advice, and celebrate successes.
The monthly one hour meetings follow this structure:
Intro: The meeting leader opens the meeting (on time!).
Content [optional]: We suggest making the meeting leader present a learning, an insight, a book or anything else for 5 minutes at the start of every session. That way everyone learns something new and you train your presentation skills.
Accountability round: Each member takes 7 minutes to ...
Share the progress they've made in the past month towards their goals
The biggest learning or realization they've had
Their goals for the next month
Get feedback on their progress and goals from the other members
The meeting leader makes sure that the time limits are adhered to.
Open discussion: The remaining time can be spend discussing any other topics that come up.
Closing: Close the session on time. It's important to end on time to follow expectations. If you have more to talk, schedule another meeting - or make next month's meeting longer. Before leaving, the group appoints the next meetings' leader - and the date. Keep in mind, that we see a fixed date working best for most groups (e.g. every first Monday at 6pm). It's the meeting leader's responsibility to send out invites, reschedule if necessary and to make sure that everyone attends.
Uptime mastermind groups help provide its members with the support, encouragement, and accountability they need to achieve their goals and succeed in their personal and professional lives. Our structured approach to mastermind groups allows members to focus on their goals, build relationships, and gain valuable insights and advice from their peers.
